Cortesi Gallery

Cortesi Gallery was founded in 2013 in Lugano by the Cortesi family, Stefano and his two sons Andrea and Lorenzo. The gallery specialises in European artistic movements from the 1950s to the present day. In 2015, Cortesi Gallery opened a second branch in Mayfair, London and two years later they inaugurated a third venue in Milan. Cortesi Gallery is characterised by the willingness to create high-standard projects often in collaboration with specialists in the field, such as external curators, researchers, artists’ archives and foundations. The exhibition program reflects the gallery’s expertise by displaying major shows featuring artists from the ZERO Group, New Tendencies, Optical, Kinetic, Conceptual and Minimal Art. In addition to the agenda that Cortesi Gallery dedicates to Italian and international artists from the 20th century, it also works with a close look to the contemporary art world. Each year Cortesi Gallery participates in major international art fairs, such as TEFAF (New York and Maastricht), The Armory Show (New York), Arte Fiera (Bologna), MIART (Milano), Masterpiece (London), BRAFA (Brussels) and many others.
