Between the 1990s and 2000 he worked as a consultant for, among others, the Solomon Guggenheim Foundation in New York, the Moa Museum of Art in Atami and the collection of the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, and on the arrangement of private collections in Italy and abroad. In the following years he worked as a consultant for some art conservation companies for the Artemis Group in France and again for art-related foundations in New York and Rome. In Venice, as an independent curator, he has supervised several exhibitions and events, mainly at Palazzo Zenobio, Museo Correr, Palazzo Fortuny, Arsenale di Venezia and Officina delle Zattere. In the latter period he worked on the Friends event, a format whose first edition was presented in Venice back in 2015, which hosted within it solo exhibitions of artists he curated and a collateral event dedicated to Bevery Peppers, which was held in 2019 at Spazio Thetis at the Arsenale di Venezia. Scheduled to be hosted in Italy but postponed due to the current health situation are a number of exhibitions proposed and conceived with his friend and Canadian curator Wayne Baerwaldt, including The Shadow of the Sun, now scheduled to be held in New York, Fluid by the American photographer Blake Little and the Flaneur project, also in collaboration with Dr Matilde Nuzzo, a travelling exhibition in preparation for its first exhibition in Italy next year.

[expand title=”bio”] Wayne Baerwaldt is a visual arts curator and media producer. He has commissioned and co-produced numerous international exhibitions, events, symposia, video installations and publications that trace diverse artmaking strategies and identity issues. Recent projects include The Shadow of the Sun: Ross Bleckner and Zachari Logan at Wave Hill, New York and University Art Galleries, University of Saskatchewan, Thierry Marceau: The Great One’s Back at the Art Gallery of Alberta, a series of commissioned artworks for Cadillac Fairview Corp., Toronto, and Blake Little: Fluid, a touring exhibition of photographic portraits of models on the gender fluid spectrum. He recently guest edited Issue #62 of PUBLIC, The Gender-Diverse Lens. He is a Michele Sereda Artist in Residence for Socially Engaged Practice at the University of Regina (MAP and Hill/Levine Business Schools). [/expand]

Marco Nicolò Riccomini

[expand title=”bio”] Marco Nicolò Riccòmini graduated in Modern Literature with a historical-artistic address at the University of Florence. Professionally trained in London, on his return to Italy he directed the Department of Ancient Paintings of Finarte Casa d ‘Aste in Milan for five years, then for over a decade that of Christie’s Italy. He has curated several exhibitions and related catalogs, including recently Baroque figures of time. Paintings by the Opera Pia dei Poveri Vergognosi, Bologna, Fondazione del Monte di Bologna and Ravenna (17 April – 12 June 2016). Specialist, in particular, of Bolognese painting and drawing between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, he has published various books and essays including: Donato Creti. The drawings of the Certani Collection at the Giorgio Cini Foundation, Marsilio Editori, Venice 2011; Donato Creti. Works on paper.
